We sure had fun and I've got the photos to prove it! Summer of 1969 I rowed for Coach Sellers in Ecorse, Michigan, then for the club rowing on the Oakland Estuary in the late 70's. Our coach's name was Bill, can't recall his last name. Plastic surgeon John Jones M.D. (currently in San Diego?) rowed lightweight; I did too for a crazy while, but usually heavyweight. John was in an eight with Rich Reinemann and several others. I rowed with big John Staples at 6 in the "engine room". Several of us also ran a coxed four and Rich and I competed in a pair. Usually I rowed 4, but stroked some my last year there. If you'd like photos of the group let me know. Best athletic experience of my life!
